Job DescriptionPosition SummaryPerforms troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, installation, modification, vision system and particle sensor parameter setup of Automatic Inspection Machines for vials, ampoules, cartridges and syringes.
Support of other types of pharmaceutical packaging and inspection equipment within our I2P division may also be required.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) with customers at Syntegon facilities in Japan, Germany or DenmarkoPerform machine installation and support customers with Site Acceptance Testing (SAT)oGuide customers to provide proper samples in order to develop machine vision recipes and achieve defect detection targets with minimal false rejection of accepts.
oTrain customer staff on the operation and maintenance of inspection, packaging and assembly machineoPerform customer on-site preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of machine issue, both mechanical and electrical in natureoMaintain regular communication with customers to ensure proper function and satisfaction of machinesoTeach vision training classes, both at office and at customer siteoPerform PC repairs and upgrades, both at office and at customer siteoPerform troubleshooting phone support on machine operational issuesoGenerate service visit summaries and technical reportsQualificationsBasic Requirements:
Must possess an Associate's degree or 2-year technical college diploma in Mechatronics, Automation, or related field experience.
Preferred
Qualifications:
Having PLC experience is a plus.
Experience with Cognex, Halcon, or other Vision systems is highly desirable.
If you speak or write in an additional language it is a bonus.
Your excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner with other functions and foster teamwork will be beneficial.
You will excel with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work Independently with flexibility on changing priorities and deadlines.
Your strong mechanical aptitude, with mathematical skills and detail-oriented work style will provide you with the best skillset for the role.
