Internal Auditor

The Internal Financial Auditor has the responsibility for planning, conducting and reporting financial and operational audits for the company. The IFA operates in a team environment by developing and implementing efficient and comprehensive auditing programs covering all financial and operational activities.



? Perform, supervise, and document internal audits according to professional/company standards for internal auditing utilizing Excel & ROSnet and/or restaurant financial management software systems
? Assist in development of the company?s annual audit plan; work collaboratively with the Director of Finance to update the risk assessment and audit plan on an annual basis
? Demonstrate and apply a clear understanding of audit methodologies, industry risks, and regulatory compliance
? Evaluate the significance of audit findings and develop recommendations for resolution; present these ideas to Finance Department on a monthly basis and ensure issues are addressed by appropriate parties and responses are reviewed & verified
? Develop recommendations to strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency?
? Supervise and review the work of internal auditors in the department
? Set performance expectations of team members, provide coaching and feedback throughout the audit process
? Analyze Marketing & Operating initiatives using ROSnet and/or restaurant financial management software systems reports as requested
? Assist Finance team on various types of financial reporting (Budgeting, ProFormas, Business Valuations, P&L analysis)
? Perform analysis and comparisons of vendor contracts, as needed
? Assist with other accounting department related functions as needed


Working knowledge of state and local regulatory requirements applicable to finance and financial terms and principles
? Experience with ROSnet and/or restaurant financial management software systems
? Must have initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively?
? Ability to maintain highly confidential information
? Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
? Accurate and precise attention to detail
? Operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, Microsoft Office, and typical office equipment (e.g. Telephones, copier, fax machine, Email, etc.)
? Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills with attention to detail and follow up
? Advanced math skills; ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages, and apply concepts of mathematics relating to financial calculations
? Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
? Strong interpersonal skills to interface with all disciplines and levels
? Bachelor degree in Finance or related field?

Preferred:
? 1-3 year?s proven experience in Finance
? Prior restaurant experience?

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
