Senior Regulatory Specialist - Cosmetics and Skin Care

Position Summary

This newly created position will support our latest member of our Edgewell family of great products, 'Jack Black' - a complete line of men's skin care, shaving, and grooming products. (Visit www.getjackblack.com/Skincare/Products)?

With light supervision, support product notifications and registrations for Cosmetics, OTC Drugs and consumer products globally.
Direct responsibilities for the support of product compliance.?? Assure all governmental and industry reporting systems and documentation comply with regulatory requirements for OTC, Cosmetic and consumer and other products.?? Develop strategies for governmental approval to introduce new products to market; provide advice on regulatory requirements; and manage submissions for pre-market licensing or conformity assessment.


Develop Regulatory Affairs strategies, policies and objectives in accordance with Company strategic plans.
??Provide regulatory guidance, risk assessment and management throughout the product lifecycle.
??Prepare regulatory submissions to health authorities, pre-market registration, notification or conformity assessment?? assuring submissions meet relevant regulatory requirements globally.
??Provide on-going support to New Product Development and Commercial project teams on regulatory issues and questions.
??Support new and currently marketed products, including label review and approval of Artwork globally.
??Confirm product or formula acceptability in local markets.
??Research and monitor changes in Regulation Standards that may impact the business.
??Complete Government and Retailer Regulatory surveys.
??Attend NPD meetings and collaborate with Marketing, Program Management, Operations and other cross-functional team members to meet required deadlines.
??Prioritize and guide the work of colleague(s) to ensure commitments are met.
??Author Standard Operating Procedures for routine Regulatory transactions and work processes.?
??Maintain matrices and tracking sheets for Regulatory transactions.?
??Build matrix/playbook of Regulatory requirements for Consumer Products in Global Markets.
??Perform administrative functions as required to support Global projects.
??Represent EPC to trade association Committees or Task Forces as assigned.
??Represent Regulatory to Core Team Meetings as assigned.
??Build library and network of regional regulatory resources.
??Maintain specialized product category knowledge.

Required Skills and Experience

??B.A. / B.S. required; degree in regulatory affairs, chemistry, engineering, life sciences, international business or business economy.
??6-7+ years of related experience within a cosmetic or regulated consumer or healthcare products environment.
??Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience with Global product registration and pre-conformity assessment processes is mandatory with focus on North America and Asian regions.
??Sound knowledge of Global Regulations for Cosmetic, OTC and Consumer Products required.
??Prior supervisory experience as well as strong coaching and mentoring skills an advantage.

??Strong knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, standards and guidelines affecting consumer and consumer products.
??Good negotiation skills, diplomacy and professional judgement are required.

??Ability to interface with internal and external contacts at all levels. Ability to clearly communicate technical and non-
technical information via verbal presentations and in writing.
??Good computer skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access/databases e-mail and internet applications.
??Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping skills.
??Excellent organizational, prioritization and follow up skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously.
??Ability to think and act independently and to make sound decisions.
??Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing priorities and to complete projects on time. Service-oriented.

Preferred Skills and Experience

??Experience in regulatory compliance standards and filings for Consumer Products in North America and Europe preferred
??Skin care products experience a big plus

Working Relationships & Environment

? Position reports to our Senior Manager, Global Regulatory Affairs

??Initially, this position may also require up to 25% travel to other company locations and to external meetings.
After a few months travel will be light
??Some light lifting required, up to 25 pounds.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
