As a Health Economics & Payment Policy intern at Stryker, you will:
+ Provide analytic support to projects designed to generate data demonstrating the comparative health economic value of Stryker products and services
+ Conduct secondary research, e.g., literature search summaries, to gain an understanding of the clinical and economic components of diseases and treatments
+ Update internal colleague directories used by the Government Affairs team in responding to requests by members of Stryker senior management
+ Evaluate existing and proposed US and international health policy related to quality and payment and determine potential impact on Stryker's business
+ Draft articles for the Global Government Affairs Monthly Report
+ Develop a Consultant Directory containing names of research fir ms and other collaborators
+ Identify input variables for health economic models that assess the economic value of brands for payers, purchasers, surgeons and/or patients
What You Need
? Currently working on completion of Bachelor?s degree in related field or equivalent; we will only consider students who plan be enrolled in a degree-seeking program after the summer
? Cumulative 3.0 GPA or above; must be the case at the date of hire and also will be verified during background check in the spring
? Must be permanent resident of the U.S. or U.S. citizen
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills
? Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow
? Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
? Ability to exercise independent judgment
? Proficient on basic computer programs: Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
? Proven leadership and business acumen skills
? Proven ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines
? Strong interpersonal skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
